Dorothy: "Yoohoo! I'm Dorothy, an accredited journalist! Congratulations on winning the 1st Eternal Cup Magic Competition's final prize! Could you please tell us what you're feeling right now?"

Galore: "A journalist?! Nobody told me there would be an interview..."

Dorothy: "Well, it seems fun, so I've decided to get into journalist mode for today! That's not the point anyway. The other finalist, Nayuta, has already done his interview. Don't even dream of getting out of this!"

Galore: "What did he say?'"

Dorothy: "He said, 'I'm very honored,' and then he left."

Galore: "In that case, I'm also very—"

Dorothy: "Nuh-uh! Come on, tell us how you feel after receiving the chocolate coin personally awarded by the Conductor. Are you happy? Excited?"

Galore: "I-I... Um, I'll have to keep the chocolate coin safe. Some pets, like dogs, might get poisoned if they eat it..."

Dorothy: "Huh?! You're gonna feed the prize that the Conductor personally gave you to dogs?! Unbelievable!"

Galore: "No!!! That's not what I meant!"

Dorothy: "Ah, forget it. Then... Wait, let me check my notes... It was pretty tense between you and Nayuta for a bit in the middle of the competition. What was it that made you two eventually put aside your mutual animosity and shake hands to make peace?"

Galore: "Nayuta's magic is fantastic. We purely approved of each other's skills. There was no mutual animosity."

Dorothy: "Are you sure?! But you two looked soooo terrifying during the competition, as though you wished you could kill each other with your gaze!"

Galore: "I said we don't... (sighs) This is exhausting... Can we just wrap this up already...?"

After facing numerous comments suggesting he was ill-suited to be a magician, Galore grew somewhat frustrated. However, he found fulfillment in his role as a mercenary and harbored no ambitions of becoming a true magician. As a second-rate magician, he had no aspirations for fame or glory, and his primary goal was to fulfill his duties punctually. The life of a mercenary was clear-cut: follow instructions, complete assignments, and receive compensation. This straightforward approach suited him well. He appreciated the absence of intricate relationships or concerns about popularity — it was the ideal occupation for him.

Nevertheless, when his fellow mercenaries playfully dubbed him "Flamingo" in reference to his hair color, Galore began to question his place in this profession.

Amidst his inner turmoil, Galore encountered a pink-feathered owl during a mission. The owl trailed him back to the mercenaries' quarters, seemingly identifying a kindred spirit in Galore due to their matching hair hues. It was then that the owl was named "Flamingo," relieving Galore of his irritating nickname. Subsequently, the owl started bring a variety of stray animals to Galore's abode, seeking refuge as if intuiting a place of safety... This trend persisted until Galore contemplated departing from his mercenary role to establish his own pet emporium.

With an array of peculiar creatures under his guardianship, Galore ventured to the surface and opened a pet store, naming it directly after Flamingo. Even on the surface, the owl persisted in venturing out and returning with fresh additions to their eclectic collection. Fortunately, Galore's pet store gained renown in Shoggolith City, attracting customers eager to adopt and nurture these distinctive pets. The owl occasionally absconded from the store, only to return bearing curious discoveries.

However, on one occasion, the owl did not return to the store at his usual time. Fearing for his companion's safety, Galore promptly set out to search for him. He eventually located Flamingo perched on a tree, fixated on a particular direction a few blocks away. Following the owl's gaze, Galore spotted a large eagle resting on a little girl's head nearby.

This encounter led to the meeting of Tara, Cook, Galore, and Flamingo. Over time, Tara and Galore grew acquainted, with Tara occasionally visiting his pet store for supplies. Cook and Flamingo also struck up a bond... though the extent to which Flamingo incessantly pursued Cook around the house raised questions about the nature of their relationship.

When Galore boarded the Eternal, Flamingo was absent — that was exactly the reason for his decision to embark on this journey. One day, Flamingo trailed Tara and Cook out of Shoggolith City and never came back. To reunite with his beloved owl companion, Galore entrusted his pet store to Olivien and set off on the adventure.
